​The 16th IFSB Summit 2024 resumed on 8th May afternoon, with several panel discussions.

The session titled 'Financial Stability and the Current Global Macroeconomic Environment: Implications for the IFSI' among others aims to highlight global macroeconomic risks including inflation, volatility and rising interest rates and build-up of financial sector vulnerabilities. Chaired by Doctor Ghiath Shabsigh, Secretary General of IFSB, the session also discussed the implications of these challenges for the resilience of the Islamic Financial Services Industry, its critical area for monitoring, policy challenges, and their broader ramifications for the stability and resilience of the IFSI.
